Dispute Resolution & Administrative Mediation Policy
Effective Date: July 22, 2026 | Document Revision: 2.5 | Statutory Scope: Contract Dispute Mediation under UCC Article 2 & AAA Commercial Rules
1. Mandatory Three-Stage Dispute Lifecycle
All claims regarding non-delivery, freight casualties, or specification non-conformance must be submitted through the official FURRT dispute portal within the 48-hour post-delivery inspection window. Disputes adhere strictly to the following 3-stage lifecycle:
Stage 1: OPEN (Direct Negotiation Phase) — Upon dispute initiation, escrow disbursements are automatically frozen (`DISPUTED`). Buyer and Seller are granted 72 hours to negotiate directly in the dispute log to agree on a remedy (e.g., partial refund, replacement component, or local repair credit).
Stage 2: UNDER_REVIEW (Formal Admin Mediation) — If direct negotiation fails after 72 hours, either party may escalate to Admin Review. A senior FURRT Dispute Specialist is assigned to audit in-app message logs, CAD blueprints, progress photos, and Bill of Lading (BOL) shipping records.
Stage 3: RESOLVED (Binding Determination & Escrow Trigger) — The Dispute Specialist issues a final binding decision. FURRT instructs Escrow.com via API webhooks to execute a full Buyer refund, a partial split, or a full Seller disbursement.
2. Burden of Proof & Evidentiary Requirements
The party initiating a claim bears the burden of establishing non-conformance or transit breakage by a preponderance of clear evidentiary documentation.
- Freight Damage Claims: Must include a copy of the delivery driver's Bill of Lading (BOL) showing explicit damage annotations ("PACKAGING DAMAGED UPON RECEIPT") and high-resolution photographs of unopened crating.
- Dimensional Conformance Claims: Must include photograph evidence featuring clear tape-measure alignments demonstrating a variance exceeding ±0.5 inches from approved CAD drawings.
3. Irrevocable Escrow Override Authority
BY TRANSACTING ON FURRT, BUYERS AND SELLERS IRREVOCABLY APPOINT FURRT INC. AS THEIR AUTHORIZED MEDIATOR AND GRANT FURRT IRREVOCABLE POWER OF ATTORNEY TO INSTRUCT ESCROW.COM TO DISBURSE OR REFUND HELD ESCROW FUNDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH STAGE 3 DISPUTE DETERMINATIONS.
