Custom Furniture & Specification Policy

1. Technical Blueprint & CAD Specification Approvals
For custom commissions exceeding $1,000 USD, Sellers must provide a technical blueprint, CAD rendering, or dimensioned specification sheet in the order chat.
Written Buyer approval of the CAD drawing in the chat is required prior to transitioning the order to IN_PRODUCTION. Once approved, the CAD blueprint forms the conclusive baseline for assessing specification conformance in any dispute mediation.
2. Industry Standard Manufacturing Tolerances
Handcrafted solid wood and forged metal furniture is subject to an industry-standard manufacturing dimensional tolerance of ±0.5 inches (12.7 mm)across overall height, width, and depth metrics, unless precision tolerance standards (e.g., ±0.125 inches) are explicitly stipulated in writing within the accepted quotation contract.
3. Organic Timber Character & Material Variance Disclaimers
Solid timber is an organic material with unique natural characteristics. Variations in grain figure, knot distribution, mineral streaks, medullary rays, and natural color tone are inherent features of natural hardwoods and do not constitute defects.
Natural wood is subject to environmental expansion and contraction relative to indoor humidity changes. Sellers utilize traditional joinery (breadboard ends, sliding dovetails) to accommodate movement. Seasonal wood movement within normal environmental parameters does not constitute a defect under UCC § 2-314.
4. Post-Acceptance Scope Changes
Any modification to dimensions, timber species, hardware, or stain finishes requested after payment capture (PAYMENT_COMPLETED) requires a formal quote revision by the Seller. Additional material and labor costs will be billed via revised escrow funding.
